finished watching highschool of the dead. really awesome zombie anime. a pity it only lasted 12 episodes.
and i wonder, what if a real zombie apocalypse does happen? what if it comes in the form of a virus? what if my family members get infected? who will be the first person i try to contact? where will i hide? who will be the first to call me?
would probably type out this scenario in a story, just for kicks.
if the streets are filled with the undead, will i still risk my life to find you and bring you to safety?
sadly, this story will probably be left unpublished. just for personal reading. (;
sometimes, i wish i could dream about this scenario whenever i want it. been trying to for the past few nights but have dreamt of unrelated stuff.
maybe tonight i dream for real.
maybe.

dont bother reading.
been thinking quite long of a good solution for a long term problem, been reading daily posts from an anti-pap group on facebook and thinking of how to solve these political problems.
as you know, I've never really been into politics much. i don't even include politics as a topic for discussion in my daily conversations with people. most of my politic information come either from newspapers, online threads OR my dad. (mostly from my dad actually)
so anyway, like most Singaporeans i was pretty unhappy about the way our current government wasted so much money on the YOG which was pretty much a failure in the eyes of everyone except the people who were directly involved in it. and i pretty much kept this unhappiness to myself UNTIL our dear minister Vivian decided to explain his folly in the most ridiculous matter EVER.
Vingaporeans: how did you possibly under budget 287million dollars? didnt you hire any professional consultants to find the actual cost?!?!?!?!?
Vivian: sorry, China spent alot of money. England is going to spend a lot of money too. BUT the olympic committee is very happy with us. AND this is my first time planning too.
WTF? China and England are hosting REAL olympics. not 15 year-olds doing sports. also, OF COURSE the committee said you did a good job. YOU SPENT 387 MILLION DOLLARS! as for the first time, that is NO EXCUSE PLEASE.
ask yourself: "if i spent 287 million dollars overbudget on my project. what would my boss do?"
the whole mas selamat farce was also amusing to me. what i say is, after wasting SOOO MUCH MONEY chasing one escape convict who got caught by MALAYSIAN police. the least you can do is resign?
if you are the leader, please take the consequences of your subordinates. its why you have the highest position. if this was anywhere else in the world, the right thing to do would be to apologize for the entire fiasco and resign. not be a thick-skin guy and give excuses.
many more issues have led me to dislike the government a little. eg: how one guy criticized the poor people of singapore for being over-reliant and then later came out like a whiny b*tch saying he did not mean it and blah blah. also, the influx of FTs and the merits of being a Singaporean. wheres my benefits HURH.
BUT you cant say the government is not doing a good job overall.
everything is still going well, the economy is recovering, new MRT is being built, NS got better package (but of course, the young men of the nation are doing cheap labour)
so, at first i thought the solution to this problem was having a strong opposition party take over the PAP.
then i realized, DUDE, if you were smart enough or talented enough the PAP would have scouted you long ago to be part of the government. Are there really undiscovered talent in politics? Do great people stand amongst us who can be smart enough to defeat the PAP?
i guess not. even if you were great i wouldn't vote for you anyhow, since the current PAP are doing their jobs well and my HDB is increasing in value and i have a job.
SO the ultimate solution IS: to kick all these losers out of their high perch and in turn introduce the new batch of talented politicians to rule over us. make a mistake letting a terrorist escape/ overspending tax payers money on YOG? GTFO, make way for the new generation of leaders!
in this way, our government can be stable, competent and the people can be contented.
so, ministers Vivian and Kan Sing, step over. time for some better and new ministers!
and to PM Hsien Loong, if they do not resign, please FIRE THEM. as their boss its your god-given right to do so.
and me, a citizen, will continue to VOTE PAP! in fact, everyone will continue to vote PAP.
thank you.

Hey you,
So many things on my mind. Worry about my lost camera.. found some leads but will probably lose $220 buying a new one to replace it.
Havent kept to my goal of studying SATS and working out. Too tired from work to look at the SAT textbooks and leg is injured so i cant run and jump properly.
Really afraid that I would once again fail my driving test at the end of the month and waste all the money. Not afraid of not having the license just dontwant to waste the money.
Caught a movie with my bro yesterday.. Resident evil.. havent done so for a looooong time. like years. i remember the last movie we watched together was Step Up.
around 2 more weeks to the end of my assignment with Safilo. will blog about that too.
I am in the midst of writing a story i heard. i hope i can do it justice.
Will let you read it once im done with it. Until then, i hope you stay happy everyday. cause life's too short to stay anything but happy.
with lots of love,
jerome
with this i will see
if seeing is truly believing.

Hi you,
Past week has been really a bore i guess. Sometimes i wonder how the working class can keep going on working with nothing to look forward to.
Me: so what are you looking forward to?
Manager E: next friday holiday.
I guess thats called commitment. to yourself, to your family, to your career.
and i realise, i do not want to grow up so soon. but if i were to have a family, something like this is inevitable.
working half our lives away..
depressing..
well, on a lighter note, jap dinner with my parents just now was pretty nice. and also, new boundaries have been set.
take care of yourself in whatever you are doing!
jerome
and as the bus came to a halt at the junction,
a few passengers alighted, never welcome on the bus again.
