Inspiration

It's true life is a game. We are dictated by a certain set of rules that govern how we do things, how we should feel doing those things and what we expect from getting them done.

No one likes to be a loser, everybody wants to win. But alas, there will always come a time where it's your turn to take the hit. And at that time you'll feel like shit, like you got screwed over, like you banged the bus, like as if life dealt you 2-7 and your opponents bullets. And then you start to question the decisions you've made that led you up to the moment you finally fell from grace. But it doesn't matter, you can't go back, there's no rewind button you can press and no machine that allows you to time travel.

So we live with it, we take the loss in our stride and we learn from our past mistakes. We learn to prioritise differently and to see things in a new light. You learn to take chances you'd never taken before and give chances to others as well. You'll learn that there is a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them back. You'll learn more than you'll ever want to learn. And some lessons were meant to be taught the hard way, sometimes even if it means losing the game of life.

And at that moment when you finally come to terms with the fact that you lost because of yourself, it feels like a new chapter is finally beginning to write itself and that losing was the closing to yet another great story in your life journal.
