Shortly after touching what remained of the Berlin wall I decided to head over to the next historical site and it was then where I found myself hopelessly lost.
Clad in nothing but my manchester jersey, a sweater, fbt shorts and slippers, I walked through the near empty streets of Berlin without a clue where the hell I was. I bet the people who saw me were like: what is this freaking Asian dude doing here walking around like it was his house or something. The weather was pretty chilly too.
So after walking quite a distance I found myself crossing a large bridge shadowing a small river, the view wasn't fantastic or anything but I could tell you this place was magical!
For the first time in my life I've felt that I didn't have a care in the world! No care for time or place or anything and that I could be anywhere I want and do anything I wished. And right there on the bridge somewhere in Germany I finally found out the awesome reason why people choose to travel alone sometimes.
It's like a pause button in life.
You get to choose everything without having anyone tell you anything. You could empty your mind of thoughts and emotions and just live in the moment. You could just live without worrying about what's gonna happen next. You could be free.
Eventually I walked to the main central station. It was about 7 train stops away from where I originally started off. I felt abit like Forrest gump. A reason doesn't have to exist for you to do something before you do it. If you want to go around walking aimlessly, then do it!
Right now, at this moment in time. I'll gladly say it: I love life.
