Left or right? Right of left?
The hedges were so tall it was nearly impossible to look over them. I had no idea which way was north or which way I had first came in from. It was nearly sunset and I knew I had to get out fast before the last light fades. The problem was that I didn't know where to start or how I ended up here.
It was half frustrating and half amusing that I had gotten myself into such a predicament. I had first believed instinct would have led me straight out. An hour later, I gave up and caved in to just wandering around aimlessly hoping I would see the exit. It was amazing how someone who had once trained in the jungles of Brunei could get lost in something that was artificially created by man.
This was such a bad idea. Why did I even come here in the first place? How did I get so lost?
I glanced down at my feet. The shoes didn't belong to me, they were way too small for my feet.
No wonder I just didn't feel like me today.
Because I wasn't.
