happy boxing day!

i once attended a lecture on the secret to happiness, and considering my current read is titled "the happiness advantage", i figured its finally time a take some time to follow some of their recommendations.

i've forgotten how or why this space has become my emo as hell place to store my unhappiness when it should actually be a celebration of memories.

the lecturer encouraged people to keep photographs and to constantly look at them. people only keep happy times in photographs, rarely are there photographs that invoke the opposite. i see no difference in words either. im happy to have a large, and i mean really really large collection of photographs in my phone to keep me company during some pretty boring and depressing times spent in camp this holidays.

memories of the time spent in taiwan, of all the nice people that i have crossed paths with, the endless birthday celebrations, moments of pure stupidity and youth, visits to beautiful places, awesome food with even more awesome company, fun school camps and events and so much more. its kind of weird but i actually view them in the most ungodly hours of the night where i need to force myself to keep awake during duty. and sometimes the sleeping guards are awoken by my unearthly laughter.

i cannot say it has not been a fruitful holiday, much has happened.

i've been a "brother" for my cousin's big day, masterminded the great "bike lock" scam on roger, kbbq-ed with the WSC peeps, KTV with hall, stayed up late for poker sessions, visited snow city for the first time, caught all the new movies, had late night suppers, visited JB for its cheap food and constantly tried to keep fit. all fresh, new memories added into this life journal of mine.

i promise this year this space is going to be much more brighter!
