i used the wee hours of the last day of the year to recollect all the memories that i have of this year. and i realised that i have not left any resolutions for the past 2 years due to the lack of time that is always associated with guys in green. so this year, i have decided to leave some solid resolutions, nothing too impossible but not too simple either.
my 2010 resolution list has actually been fully completed, except I didn't beat Daniel up after graduation or found the perfect someone. In the dying hours of 2012, I've decided to stick to tradition and craft a new list before heading off for the countdown.
This year, 2013, I will try.
1) To stop lying for the sake of lying. It has become an awfully bad habit that even I myself have no idea where I picked it up from.
2) To maintain a second-upper class honours in my bachelors by working hard.
3) Instead of trying to finish the last agenda on my 2010 resolution list, this year I'll make an exception and allow love to find me instead. (thanks abcd)
4) Visit all the places that I want to visit this year.
5) Get my priorities right and to be able to strike a perfect balance in life.
6) Read more. My language has became horrible (especially after 12mn) and I attribute this to not reading enough books for the past 3 years.
7) Be nicer, kinder and more understanding to everyone and to offend as little people as possible. (or animals as well but this has never been a problem i guess)
8) Do more random acts of kindness. It goes a long way. It never hurts to extend a helping hand when it is in your capacity to.
9) Though I've already met so many new people this year. I want to meet alot more, there can never be a greater pleasure.
10) Put some of my innovations and ideas to practice. Like starting a smile campaign in school or experimenting with new inventions.
11) To stay fit and healthy. Exercise requires discipline.
12) Cut down on my vulgarities and mean-ness and to be more matured in my actions and thoughts.
13) Pursue happiness as much as possible, for my family, my friends and myself. To make a commitment to always look at all things in a positive light and to treasure all the memories.
13 resolutions for 2013.
Happy new year everyone! Let 2013 be as fruitful as 2012!
Cheers!
